Troubleshooting Common Issues & FAQ for Shop Owners

A quick-reference for the issues shop owners run into most, plus the questions we're asked most often.
Common issues
A page returns a 404 after I enabled a new feature. Some features (custom stores, template libraries, certain addons) rely on WordPress rewrite rules. After enabling something new, go to Settings → Permalinks in WordPress and just click "Save" (no changes needed) to flush and regenerate rewrite rules. This resolves the large majority of "works in admin, 404s on the front end" issues.
Pricing looks stale after I changed it. Print-process and product pricing are cached briefly for performance. Give it a short time to refresh. If pricing still looks wrong after several minutes, contact support — a specific cache may need to be manually cleared.
A customer's cart shows the wrong items, or items from a store appear on the main site cart (or vice versa). Web2ink separates carts by context — your main site and each Custom Store keep their own cart so customers don't accidentally mix a personal purchase with a team-store order. If a customer reports cart confusion, first ask which URL they were on (main site vs. a specific store) when it happened — this is the most common variable, and clearing cookies/cache on their end can also help if the issue persists.
A saved design or reorder shows an unexpected price. See How Reorders Are Re-Priced — reorders are priced fresh, not copied from the original order, so a changed price is often expected rather than a bug. Check whether pricing, a print-process charge, or the customer's discount group changed since the original order.
An imported product looks incomplete (no designer, no price). Importing brings in the base product only — you still need to configure the print process and pricing before it's fully store-ready (see Importing Products & Categories From the Web2ink Catalog).
Frequently asked questions
What is Web2ink, and who is it for? A custom web-to-print platform built for print shops, screen printers, DTG printers, embroidery businesses, and similar companies — managing online orders, product personalization, and production all in one place.
Do I need web design experience for a DIY Plan? No experience is required, though basic familiarity with WordPress or Elementor helps. DIY Plans include easy-to-use templates, and lifetime support is available.
Can I switch from a DIY Plan to a Full Site Plan later? Yes — you'll only pay the difference in the one-time setup fee.
Why is the monthly price higher for DIY Plans? DIY Plans have lower upfront setup fees but slightly higher monthly costs, supporting extended onboarding, flexible templates, and ongoing access to core features and support.
How long does it take to launch my Web2ink site? Full Site Plans are typically ready within 5–7 business days after onboarding. DIY Plans can launch as soon as you finish your own setup.
Is SEO handled or optimized in the system? Yes — your site runs on WordPress and Elementor Pro, giving you full control over page titles, meta descriptions, alt tags, schema markup, and blog content, with no platform-level SEO drawbacks.
Is hosting included? Yes — every plan includes secure, high-speed Google Cloud hosting with SSL, daily backups, automatic updates, and a global CDN.
Still stuck?
Contact support at 877-932-2465 or [email protected] — include your site URL, the page/order affected, and what you expected to happen versus what actually happened. That context gets you a faster, more accurate answer than "something's broken."
