How to Use the Online Design Tool

Last updated

The online designer is where you personalize a product before ordering — add your own artwork, text, names and numbers, and see exactly what you're getting before you buy.

Getting started

  1. Choose a product and click Design Now (or the equivalent button on the product page).
  2. The designer opens with the product ready for customization.
  3. Work across every printable area of the product — the tool isn't limited to a single print spot.

Adding your design

  • Upload your own artwork — see Uploading Your Own Artwork: File Requirements & Tips for file tips.
  • Add text — choose fonts, colors, and sizing directly in the tool.
  • Choose colors for your selected print/decoration process, if the product supports color options.
  • Select sides — front, back, sleeve, etc., depending on what the product supports.

Personalizing team or group orders

If you're ordering for a team or group (uniforms, roster shirts, event merch), the designer supports adding names and numbers per person as part of a single order — no need to submit a separate order for each teammate.

Saving your design

Click Save while signed in, and your design is stored to your account — you can come back and finish it later, reuse it, or reorder it going forward (see Saved Designs & One-Click Reorders). You'll need to be signed in for a save to stick; see Creating Your Account & Signing In if you haven't set up an account yet.

Checking your price as you design

Pricing updates as you design — quantity, colors, and options you choose all affect the price shown, so what you see reflects what you'll actually be charged at checkout.

Low-quality artwork warning

If you upload an image that's too low-resolution to print cleanly, you'll see a warning. You can still proceed, but for the best print quality, swap in a higher-resolution file if you have one — see Uploading Your Own Artwork: File Requirements & Tips.

The designer works on any device

You can design from a phone, tablet, or computer — there's no need to be at a desktop to start or finish a design.

Troubleshooting

  • Designer won't load — try refreshing, or a different browser; if it persists, contact the shop.
  • Can't find the "Design Now" option — some products are sold as-is (blank stock) without a designer step; if you expected to customize it and don't see the option, ask the shop.
  • Lost your work — if you weren't signed in, unsaved work may not persist between sessions; sign in before you start designing next time.
