Applying & Customizing a Premium Store Theme

Advanced Stores ships with a set of premium, one-click store themes so a store owner can get a polished, on-brand storefront without touching a page builder.

What a theme actually applies

Applying a theme sets up a full set of pages for that store — home, category, product/design, cart, and checkout — along with a color palette and styling tokens that skin the whole storefront consistently. It's a complete look, not just a color swap.

Applying a theme

1. As a store owner or admin, go to My Account → Managed Stores → [Store] → Theme.
2. Browse the available themes (previews are shown as real screenshots, not mockups) and pick one.
3. Apply it — this sets up the store's pages and color palette in one step.
4. Optionally set the hero tagline — the short, editable line of text shown in the store's hero section — from the Theme tab or the store's Setup area.

Customizing after applying

Applying a theme isn't a one-way trip. Store owners (and admins) can:

• Edit in the page builder to adjust individual pages further
• Reset back to the original theme layout if edits go sideways
• Save as a variation, to preserve a customized version separately

Store owners can only edit their own store's pages — they won't see or be able to touch other stores' pages, even in the shared page-builder environment.

Branding fields vs. operational settings

Keep in mind the theme/branding settings (logo, colors, hero tagline, page layout) live under Customization, while things like the store's URL slug, visibility, password protection, and close date live under Setup — they're deliberately separated so operational changes don't get mixed up with look-and-feel changes.

Choosing a theme for the right audience

Themes vary in tone — some are bright and casual (good for schools, youth sports), others are darker and more premium-feeling (good for corporate or brand merchandise stores). Preview a few before committing; switching later is possible but re-customizes the store's pages again.

Troubleshooting

• Theme applied but colors look off — give the page a hard refresh; palette styling is applied via the store's own stylesheet, which can be cached by the browser.
• Can't find the Theme tab — confirm you're inside Managed Stores → [specific store], not the general account area.
• Lost a customization after resetting — reset reverts to the base theme layout; if you want to preserve custom work, use "Save as" before resetting.
