Full Site Plans vs. DIY Plans: Which One Is Right for You

Web2ink offers the same underlying platform two different ways: Full Site Plans, where our team designs your website for you, and DIY Plans, where you get a pre-built template and build it out yourself. This article breaks down the real differences so you can pick the right one.
The one difference that matters
Full Site and DIY plans have identical features — the same design studio, pricing engine, order management, and store tools. The only difference is who designs the site:
- Full Site Plans — our team builds your website, sets up your initial products and pricing, and hands you a site that's ready to sell.
- DIY Plans — you receive a pre-designed template preloaded with approximately 1,000 products, and it's up to you to change the look, feel, and content. Every DIY site still ships with Elementor Pro and Astra Pro, so no coding skill is required — but basic familiarity with WordPress or Elementor makes the process much smoother.
DIY plan options
- DIY Lite — $199/mo, 1-week free trial, HTML5 design tool, order/production manager, lifetime support.
- DIY Base — $299/mo, 1-week free trial, everything in Lite plus unlimited web-to-print stores and lifetime updates.
Why DIY's monthly price is sometimes higher
DIY Plans typically come with a lower upfront setup fee but a slightly higher ongoing monthly cost — that difference funds extended onboarding, flexible templates, and continued access to core features and support without a large design bill up front.
How to decide
Choose Full Site if:
- You don't have time to devote to designing your own website.
- You want a unique, custom-built site rather than a template.
- You'd rather focus on running your shop than learning a page builder.
Choose DIY if:
- You (or someone on your team) has web design experience, or is willing to learn Elementor.
- You have time to devote to building out your site.
- You want to save on the upfront setup cost and are comfortable with a template starting point.
Don't sign up for a DIY plan purely to save money if you don't have the time or interest in designing — that's the single most common reason DIY shops get stuck.
Can I switch later?
Yes. You can upgrade from a DIY Plan to a Full Site Plan at any time — you'll only pay the difference in the one-time setup fee, not a brand-new setup charge. With either plan, you retain the same ability to log in and update your own site going forward.

DIY plans include the same support as our standard plans. If you run into an issue you can't resolve, email or call us and we'll walk you through the fix. If you find you consistently can't keep up with managing the site yourself, we can help you move to a Full Site Plan instead.
